The plan was to start at Red Rock Open Space, connect with and loop Section 16, then head back and play at the parking lot with the teeter totters and new jumps that were put in this year. When we hit the intersection with Section 16 we decided to wander instead down Intemann and see if that held anything fun. Good idea. A few rocky technical spots but the real fun was the steepness, Section 16'esque. We rode it to the Crystal Park gate then on up one of the mountains, climbing switchbacks until we hit private property and had to turn around. It appears that Manitou may have plans to open that area to the public so that you can connect from Red Rock Open Space all the way to the Cog Railway parking lot. That'd be a sweet ride.

Riding the steeps - Intemann Trail
It's fun to change up rides. Even though it seems like Colorado Springs and company has laid more mountain trails than roads sometimes you feel like you're exhausting your options.
